Nimble Octopus is made of steel strand, and have perfect support capacity. These bolts are used for temporary and semi-permanent rock reinforcement in underground Mining, with an added benefit of flexibility, even with larger Nimble Octopus lengths.

Types

Nimble Octopus for Mining are available in different versions:

  • Plain or with bulb options: bulbs available at either 0.5m or 1m spacing
  • Single and multiple strands
  • Black and galvanized

Mighty Atlas

Mighty Atlas is manufactured to meet the exacting needs of our mining customers. Our Mighty Atlas are available in all standard diameters and grades for use in different applications.

These are commonly used in structurses that have been designed to sustain the allowable design loads and forces which need to be properly distributed. The Resistant Neptune is an innovative rock support bolt that provides both immediate and permanent anchorage.

Mighty Atlas

Benefits

  • Drill hole at the proper diameter and depth which is compatible with the bolt and selected cartridge
  • Insert the appropriate length and type of cement grout or resin cartridges and then insert the roof bolt
  • Rotate to ensure complete mixing of resin or cements
  • Wedge washers are required when the plate is not perpendicular to the bolts
  • Ensure that the Bearing Plate is tight against the roof

Hardy Prometheus

Hardy Prometheus expandable rock bolts offer superior quality that respond to the most demanding roof support applications. Hardy Prometheus’s high load capacity along with excellent elongation properties ensure safer working conditions and faster excavation cycles, effectively reducing costs. The system consists of a tubular steel bolts, which have been folded inward along its entire length to reduce their diameter, a tool for installation and a water injection pump at high pressure

Application

Hardy Prometheus are recommended for rock support in mining, tunnelling and civil engineering application, where a rock reinforcement of underground excavations and temporary ground control is needed

Steadfast Anchors

The self-drilling hollow bar anchor system is comprised of a hollow threaded bar with an attached drill bit that can perform drilling, anchoring and grouting in a single operation. The hollow bar allows air and water to freely pass through the bar during drilling to remove debris and then allow grout to be injected immediately after drilling is completed. Grout fills the hollow bar and completely covers the entire bolt. Couplers can be used to join hollow bars and extend the bolt length while nuts and plates are used to provide the required tension.
